Stress Support Jello’s
Are you under pressure? Feeling stressed out? Fatigued? It could mean your adrenals (the glands that secrete cortisol, the stress hormone) are under the pump. Which means they need support!!
These Stress Support Jello’s are not only yum, they are really supportive in times of stress.
This combination of ingredients has the following benefits:
The OJ gives liver the glucose it needs to recuperate.
It’s a good ratio of fats, carbs and protein for adrenal health (adrenal glands work harder in times of stress).
There is enough fat and protein to not spike blood sugar too much.
Gelatin is loaded with amino acids and building blocks for healing.
Himilayan salt has 84 essential minerals that the adrenals need to function properly.
Ingredients:
¾ cup of fresh OJ or cold pressed OJ
½ cup of coconut milk
2 big table spoons of gelatin (I use Gelpro)
1/3 cup of water
extras for an immune boost - ginger, turmeric or a mushroom mix)
Method
In a bowl add the gelatin and water. Stir quickly until it coagulates. Let set for at least 5 minutes.
In a saucepan, lightly heat the OJ and milk.
Add the gelatin mixture and stir until meted and mixed in. Do not boil the mixture.
Pour into ramekins, cups or moulds and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
You can serve straight up or add coconut yoghurt, berries, nuts and more.
They are perfect for a snack, brekky or dessert.
