MACA MENO SLICE

Peri-menopause? or menopausal?  This slice is for you!!!  It is filled with the powerful adaptogenic (adrenal support) maca root, which is actually a cruciferous veggie.  It is has no sweeteners in it which is important for blood sugar regulation, which supports hormonal balance. 

Maca has been shown to reduce menopausal symptoms.  Because its an adaptogen it is great for supporting adrenal health and help regulate cortisol.  As we learned from the peri-menopausal series I've just done, our adrenals are particularly important in this transition time.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/2 cup of grounded pistacios

  • 1/2 cup of almond meal

  • 1/2 cip melted coconut oil

  • 3 tablespoons of MACA root powder

  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla powder

  • 1/2 cup desiccated coconut

  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg

METHOD:

  1. Blend everything together in a food processor

  2. Press into a lined tin and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

  3. Keep in the fridge and take a slice as needed
